Frequently Asked Questions
the things you were probably going to ask
What should I wear to my color analysis appointment?
-Come with a clean, makeup-free, fake-tan free face so we can accurately assess your natural coloring. Avoid tinted moisturizer, bronzer, blush, or other complexion products if possible.
-For clothing, something simple and neutral is ideal. A top in white, gray, black, or another neutral works well.
-You don't need to overthink it — the drapes will do most of the work.
What can I expect during my color analysis?
-Your appointment is a one-on-one, hands on experience using professional color drapes to see how different colors interact with your natural coloring.
-We’ll work through your coloring step by step, identify your undertone and overall color characteristics, and narrow down your most harmonious seasonal palette.
-The goal isn't to tell you what you can’t wear. It’s to give you a clearer understanding of the colors that make you look and feel your best.
Where does my appointment take place?
-HUEZY is currently a private, home-based color analysis studio in Denver, CO.
-Your appointment takes place in a dedicated studio environment designed specifically for one-on-one color analysis, including professional lighting, mirrors, and draping.
-You'll receive the studio address and arrival details after booking.
Are there cats in the home?
-Yes. Two cats live in the home where the HUEZY studio is located.
-While the cats may not be present in the studio during your appointment, cats are part of the home environment and cat dander may be present.
-Because of this, HUEZY is unable to accommodate clients with cat allergies at the home studio.
-Prefer to have your analysis at your own home? In-home appointments may be available for an additional travel fee based on distance.
-Email: lauren@huezystudios.com for more details.
What is personal color analysis?
-Personal color analysis is a personalized way of understanding which colors naturally complement your unique coloring. Through professional draping, we look at qualities like undertone, depth, and intensity to identify the colors that create the most harmony with you.
-At Huezy, your analysis goes beyond simply warm vs. cool. We use a 23-season system to get more specific and create a color direction that feels distinctly yours.
How does the 23 color season method work?
-Instead of placing everyone into just four broad seasons, the 23-season system looks at color more specifically.
-Your analysis considers the interaction of undertone, value, and chroma to determine where your coloring sits within the seasonal spectrum.
-The result is a more individualized color direction. Giving you more nuance and more room to understand the colors that work best for you.
